This 3Points Event is presented by 3Bridges, a Business for Purpose committed to enriching community life.

If welcoming and connection are seen as the first step in developing a sense of belonging, recognising the value of children and young people as genuine community contributors underpins the development of this sense. How well are we doing this now? How do our children and young people want to be engaged as community members?

Key presentations will cover:

  • Making NSW better for Children and Young People.
  • Connecting Indigenous Children and Young People with community
  • Community engagement when a child is the carer.
  • Children as active Volunteers.

Our keynote speaker NSW Advocate for Children –Mr Andrew Johnson will cover the strategies to that are being put in place in response to broad consultation with children and young people across NSW He will particularly focus on systemic issues affecting children and young people and what needs to be done to give priority to the interests and needs of vulnerable and disadvantaged children and young people.

Indigenous Community leader, Aunty Bronwyn Penrith, will be speaking on connecting children and youth to the community.  Pam Brown, Australian Kookaburra Kids Foundation CEO, will discuss the role of the child in the family and how to support children who become carers of an adult. Finally, Ruth Tofler-Riesel will present the many positive benefits of volunteering as well as discussing how to connect children with the volunteering community.
